Almost Lover

You promised a sincere truth
Sadly delivering many lies
To my blindly mislead pursuit
It was your little amusement
My willingness to be committed
My faith in unreliable warrant
Playing right into your hands

Your dark eyes held me intrigued
They held some charming allure
You are a mean dangerous plague
To so many more girls than I
You're an addicting  intoxication
Spreading through souls and hearts
Leaving broken destruction behind

Your little mischievous twinkle
Was an evil glint disguised well
Signs of care soon proving fickle
At least, the ones for me were
Beguiling with your flirting words
From those soft full sexy lips
Waking a heart to be well disturbed

You were blessed with manly beauty
Slightly exotic to my lusting eyes
Short stature, but still pleasing  to me
Your voice of deep soothing sound
Relaxing me of all my defenses
I crumbled down helpless to let you in

Your lovely words of Spanish talk
And your taunting moans as a joke
Leaving me to be anticipating it all
Of what might have come to me
Still, I never gave it all up to you,
But regrettably would have for sure
Just like that, in a heart beat

The tingly feelings that I adored so
From just being near you a little
I thought certain somehow though
That You would be my forever
I gave away my heart, we faded away
So you became my almost lover

You, a gift of a beautiful nightmare
Became all too realistic for me
You perceived my weakness there
My emotion tangled up before you
Your malicious game you played
My heart later breaking in two

When we came together I was glad
It was a dream finally come true
But you weren't lasting to be had
You promised all your love to me
To be of hot sweet amaranthine
Forever was so short my love
Opening my eyes to the real you

Deep In my heart, I wanted infinity
But it was clear you weren't  ready
For anyone's love for an eternity
Still just a failing little boy inside
I wanted you too strongly, too bad
But I'm glad you never got all of me
You never saw all We could be
