This meant something to me, once

I can hear you breathe
Softest condensation on my neck
Hands grip the backs of my knees
I watch the swirls on the ceiling.

Thanking god for gravity
As there's a pressure in my waist
Louder
Getting louder still.

I'd fucking scream but there's no sense in that,
Trust me.

We fell so tall and flat,
This is it;

Condensation becomes kisses
And arms made to restrain
Are now made to soothe

I like it that way

But will never know what comes
After this.

Please don't go home
Leave me to resume my place on the floor
Waiting for you to come
Around again.

I'm bitter at the best of times
But this is indiscreetly more
Not that I mind
To be realistic with you
As you're all I've waited for.
