The Wall and the Mountain

I've lived and died on the surface
of the planet and now, drenched in
coagulating blood I walk with no belongings.

Keep the faith!

Amongst the teachers of mystic light, and white
glory found in the dark inner caves beyond diamond
and coal then bedrock and fire.
The road did melt with waving heat
and my shoeless feet trudge on because I'm lighter
than i used to be.

And all at once I saw a great wall.
The wall was great in size and terrible to behold,
And men of every tribe and nation, and kindred
and tongue marveled at the wall and
fell upon their faces before it.
And when I came near to the wall, I saw upon it's
face these words.

Walk! but do not pass your fellows. Keep to the middle
wherein there is safety.

Stand! but do so with angst and subtle hurry, lest ye be
slothful, then proud, and cast out among the poor.

Sit! but thou shalt not relax! Or your bed will be changed
suddenly to fire, and the thief shall keep all that's left
of thy house.

Thou shalt not run, but keep to thy circuits.
for the roads of earth are impassible, and you
shall fall upon the rocks and be broken.

Keep thine eyes low to the wall, lest the
sun find your eyes and you be blinded
for your pride.

Thou shalt do no labor to awareness!
for thy father is good and will give you
the hammer! and he shall provide a
chisel and you shall make you yourselves
the words of the wall.

Make no reference!
Make not the mistake of a facial expression!
Let no man see your joy, lest you
be cast out as a laugher a scoffer and misfit,
destined for the frozen lake of traitors.

Burn thy sentiments and keep not the records. For the
weak shall inherit the earth, but only when the strong
do tire of living.

Die not! For we shall find your frozen remains among the
ice of the age and the new needles shall breathe life in the
mouths of the dying.

And there were many more proverbs written thereon. And
the smoke of my torment is the fire of hearts, as i read the
walls of this day.
And the wall was cracked and blemishes
covered the face thereof.

And beyond the wall I saw a mountain.
And the mountain was the color of Jasper and the base thereof
was as a pearl and silver. And I was pricked in my heart that men
chose this wall and went not to the mountain.

So as this burning road, is fire beneath my feet.
I walk the coals, of pavement roads unto the mountain's seat.
I pass the men who carved mountains and polished pieces
of wall.
but bricks cannot suffice for jewels, yea, these bricks contain no straw.
