im not playing hard to get
I Am
at times hard to figure out
Like A Cryptogram

so don't expect for me
to make it easy for you
please believe it takes more
than a sweet word or two
a good farmer knows he must sow
if he ever expect to reap
it takes time and diligent effort
to get a harvest worthy to keep
see..I may be hard to get
but im not impossible to reach
you gonna have to nourish me
if you want some of my tasty peach

only plucking when the time is ripe
when it's juicy and sweet
rushing the process only insures
i won't be at my peak
i only want to make you happy
but i need time to grow
if you bite and its not what you like
then you won't want no more
lets be honest we both know
not all peaches are the same
and you can't expect different results
if you keep doing the same thang

the soils of my mind must be tilled
and i will need constant hydration
and lots of warm sunshine
heated passion is growth stimulation
but only you can decide
the type of farmer you wish to be
do you want sweat on your brow
tell me,will you work for me
after all you expect me
to be extra sweet to you
and im saving all my goodness
for someone special to give it too

im here dangling on the top branch
but don't expect me to fall down
there's no guarantee you will catch me
and i may end up on the ground

you wouldn't be eyeing other trees

cause when a man is TRULY interested
beyond the shadow of a doubt it shows
