A Sailor waits

I Standoff the Starboard bow
Observing the moonlight
break through the clouds
Its quite amazing
to me just how
Something site over
200,000 miles
and Illuminates
The Darkness of my Night.

The moon beams down
from a very long way
As if there is a message
and it has something to say
The beams are broken
by the clouds that pass
Have i really missed the message
Or does it set beyond overcast.
No matter what, I sit and wait
Suddenly awaken, the sky precipitates
With a down pour amongst my position
I yell out to the moon hoping it listens
Soak and Wet, I will stay right here
However long it takes, I'm sure this will clear...
