Lighters In The Air

this old guitar
is my best friend
it sings the song of my heart
i know it'll always be there in the end
yeah it dont make me much money
i play for a tip jar
just me and this old guitar
oh

put your lighters in the air
and i'll sing em all night
i'll try to do your favorites just right
and some of my own
from Hank and Jones
to a little Aldean
and anything country
so take a sip
of whatever you're tippin back
and lets have a good time
and a few laughs
let go of all your cares
and put your lighters in the air

every new face
and every hand i shake
make
it all worth wild
when i see someone in the front row
with a smile
it makes my heart beat a little faster
as i strum those strings
and i hear the crowd sing
oh

put your lighters in the air
and i'll sing em all night
i'll try to do your favorites just right
and some of my own
from Hank and Jones
to a little Aldean
and anything country
so take a sip
of whatever you're tippin back
and lets have a good time
and a few laughs
let go of all your cares
and put your lighters in the air

maybe someday i'll make it big
with these songs i write
i'll keep fightin the fight
tunin this thing
just right

put your lighters in the air
and i'll sing em all night
i'll try to do your favorites just right
and some of my own
from Hank and Jones
to a little Aldean
and anything country
so take a sip
of whatever you're tippin back
and lets have a good time
and a few laughs
let go of all your cares
and put your lighters in the air
