Journey to Eden

A lighted path
that glitters of gold
silvery moon up above
a day grown old
a time to leave
for hearth and home
yet lost I am
at life�s crossroads

Seeking golden roads
keep hearts longing so
solid paths of light
hide in shadows craw
borne of living life
which we press on
hold the chalice up
spirit, body, mind

Trod the path well
picked lilacs
and thorny roses
along long winding roads
A sojourner weary
longing for candles
lighting up windows
of home sweet home

Follow edge of comb
part right
pressed with gold
where all matters pattern
not what's cheated
not what's beaten
pounce and action
to find ones kingdom

Yet how difficult the path
Cobblestones know not
mercy, nor kindness
Each pebble hard
Upon heart�s need
no mossy hassock
for supplications
to cushion life�s path

Betwixt the stone lay grains
which we pass
unseen settled, ungrasped
yet fine dust
under such crush
grinds the diamonds
we deserve (or...deserving us)
quest in gleaming

Towards the fiery angel�s arch
towards the flowered garden
the orchards of eternity
lakes of milk and honey
Lets trod on thorns
against our sires foot path
and return to the sanctuary
home, eternal Eden.
