I've been taking care of her
tender little asshole
for years

whenever she got ripped up
by a bad boy
or got into something, more than she could handle
I've always fixed her up
with my most dear and tender affection

we've always had an affinity for one another
we still do
but we discovered, by trial and error
that we just can't
be exclusive to one another

we tried the exclusive lifestyle for a while

and the well-wishers multiplied at every turn
out of the woodwork
saying sweet and pleasant things
just to remind us,

and it was apparent, that wherever we went
we'd garner twice the attention of heterosexual couples
and indeed, twice as many blessings

we were a fascination to people
a fascination
to their imaginations;
a substrate
to their perversions and desires


but it didn't work out
