the shadows took my soul

I feel something inside
rotting me to the core
stripping away what was my life
until I'm not me anymore

dark voices fill my head
banshees scream in my ear
they want me to do their bidding
they claim I have nothing to fear

i must give them complete control
what other choice can be seen
the shadows have stolen my soul
and I am no longer me

the air tastes of death
blackness drowns my heart
if only there were a way
for me to get a fresh start

as i write this i know
my time is growing slim
but my life no longer belongs to me
instead it belongs to them

tears strem down my face
i breath my final sighs
my soul has faded to black
and this is my last goodbye
