And Yet Another Internet Date

Putting her make-up on, she wonders:  Could he be the right guy,
or is it just a matter of time before he begins to lie?
Is it me, or a statement for our time,
do true men exist anymore or do they all turn on a dime?

How many liars and cheaters have I known?  "Oh, stop it,"  she says out loud.
"Or I'll cancel the date and remain in this filthy cloud."

Applying her lipstick, she asks:  "Have I become more than a little jaded?"
There was a time when she trusted more but those memories have faded.
She's met so many indistinguishable from each other,
and then says with a laugh:  "Maybe I should jump the fence?  Me, a girl lover?

Satisfied with her appearance, she walks to the door
and picks up her purse lying next to the full length mirror on the floor.
She inspects herself one last time, then laughs: "Norman Rockwell would have painted me
as I'm off to meet another one from this internet dating factory."
