Not fake

Now i sit down
society looks at me and frowns
They try to label me
Try to make me see the darkness in me
That they see, but when i look at the mirror
I only see me, not some lie to despise
i know who i am and i dont need to pretend to be someone im not
So they can try to change me
But all they'll succeed in is hardening
My own belief
Im not a thing to grieve
My life might not be like yours
But you can bet that ive had my share of hurt
Felt myself be pushed down on the dirt
But i'll stay true to myself
I am who i am
Not some fake pretend
