The Bitch is Back (thanks Elton John)

Chasing a bus from the point of contact as it approaches the house, the big yellow lab hunts it down with tongue wagging sprint as it gates its way through the yard at the sound of the squealing brakes.

The stop at the end of the street, 1000- 1, 1000-2, 1000-3, gives the dog just enough time to evade the fences, jump the shrubs, blast through the hanging laundry, and needle its way across the lawn as it parallels in speed and purpose the baseline blast of the bus.

The stop next door is the final signal, and the dog is readied to heed the challenge, barking her fool head off as the bus pulls away as if oblivious to the growling menace.  The bitch takes off with the rapid acceleration of a lifting plane and soars mid-air at the careening tire as it hits its third rotation, stopping it dead in its tracks.

Back tracking her tug as she mugs the coach, she begins to spread its coast and crawl its pace as she coaxes it off to the rear of the house to bury it whole in the back yard.

Her collection includes, a mail carrier's jeep, a repairman's van, the Sear's delivery truck, and her prize catch, the dog catcher's kennel cart side car motorcycle.

When she's in heat, no man's vehicle is safe.  The bus driver did not see her coming.
