Final Home

expenses are paid at the door as i walk in
my sins are thrown away as i stand in front of my maker
looking towards him i swear i saw nothing
tears stream down my face as i beg him to take me back home
in his house is where i shall reside for the rest of my existence
the prayers of who i left made me travel this far up
i expected my house to be in a furnace of wall fires
things in my real life been through hell and back

now im finally home and can rest my feet
my soul got taken and stolen from him my lord
as my life came to an end i finally believed
years i trusted he was not existent not around
now as i look at these heavenly gates i finally see him

in spirit he holds me tight and leads me through
unsure of my path as i walk side by side with him
people surround me everywhere i turn all bathed in white
everyone smiling saying welcome home
angels flying around my head smiles radiate from their wings

i see ahead my family my loved ones all surrounding and calling me
i shall walk to them and be with them as every single moment passes by
i see them on the otherside and im happy as i can be
forever i have waited to see their smiling faces again

forever i have waited to be at ease with them and be happy
i was down but now im flying straight across the great divide
i will stop these tears now that i have been with you here
god knew all along i was going home to him and my passed ones
i forever hung on the extension he was no where to be found
i expected devil thorns and hell fire for all eternity

now im bathed in white asking where i will forever reside here
there is no pain, nothing can hurt me ever again as long as i stay
not walking in the light behind me i swear i can cry
my eyes are open wide i made it through the day i made it out
a second chance to live in the world i don't get to take
i miss everyone i left on earth i miss the ones i love in the flesh
im not angry but a second chance to live is what i crave

turning around i begin to fall back down to earth
my soul takes a leap of faith and envelopes my body
i wake suddenly and realize i was dreaming
i know now though he who reigns forever was my maker
he who reigns forever will take me home when it's time

i will see him again, see him in heaven surrounded by angels
i will live eternity in my father's house
jesus i am waiting for your call
