Victim

I am not your victim
My choices were mine to make
I made them wrong, or right
To this day I stand by them
The turn out may not have been good
May not have been right
May not have been my intention
But, the choices I made then, they were mine

Young as I was is no matter
Shy as I may have been (still am)
The question was asked
My answer was given
Given, knowing what the outcome might be

The choice was mine
It does not make me a victim
Over and over I have been made this
But I can not believe it
Wrong as it was, young as I was,
Doesn't mean I didn't know
I'd heard the stories, read the warnings
But still my choice I made
I am not your victim
