Your Disdain

Your Disdain by Gypsy Red

Such has been your disdain
that you forfeit a promise avowed
without afterthought or refrain.
Cruel beast that you are, villain
care you not for my heart, hollowed
or the sorrow evidently plain?
Poignant this lesson’s pain
that envelopes me like a shroud
not soon will I forget what I now gain.
Fore it follows me life long, like a stain
making me much less proud
until I leave this mortal plane.
Woe fore you became my ruthless bane
through my body and soul you plowed
struggle as I might, it was all in vain.
And now as the light of life does wane
I hear the truth clear and loud
and yes, I am perfectly sane
fore I left my revenge, foreordained.
