If Only You Knew (My Teenage Dream)
Most days
I manage to catch your eye,
at least once, and if I'm really lucky, its twice.
You walk on by
and I'm like oh my god you are ridiculously, unbelievably can't even explain kinda fine.
Sometimes you say Hi,
then you go about your day and I go about mine.
If only you knew.
If only you knew what I do after that.
All the hoping, all the wishing,
all the wanting.
Sometimes I lie there
forcing myself to stay awake just so I can imagine you're mine.
In the morning I will risk being late for my entire day just so I can hold you in my dreams for a little bit more time.
You are my teenage dream, my obsessive teenage dream I didn't have back then.
But I guess it's that old age thing, I can't say anything, I don't want to loose you as a friend.
So until then, this is the best I can do.
And maybe one day, I'll have the courage to tell you,
to tell you, that I love you.
