Wrong Again
Broken heart again, broken
promises.
Laying in my bed, teary eyes
again.
This is a feeling, that I know so
well.
How long would it take for me to
exhale.
Allowed myself, just didn't apply
myself.
No, it's me not you as he cries to his
self.
See I'm zoned out, cause I know this so
well.
I guess this is the point where I can
exhale.
An release all the tears bottled
inside, as he trys his best not to look
into my eyes.
I'm alone again, on my own
again.
I thought I had someone special!
But I was wrong again!

I like that line 'how long would it take for me to exhale.' I think that captures this feeling of everything sinking really well, as if one sigh drags you all the way down to the bottom. That's the one line that stands out to me as unique in this poem...as if you've really searched in yourself for what it feels like to be wrong, again. I'm not sure about the rest....it all seems kind of staged and said before...broken heart, broken promises, alone again, you though they were special...it's been gone over so many times before.
