I drink deeply[/font]
of my obsession[/font]
painfully aware[/font]
of my own
wretchedness[/font]
no one has to know[/font]
but
I know[/font]
and that is sad enough[/font]
I guess…....[/font]
but it is too late
now

appearances.[/font]

secrets….known
only to me[/font]
like
how I see
just this one[/font]
and no other[/font]
shrieking that
name[/font]
if only
in my mind....[/font]
through a dozen
tiny orgasms[/font]
I shudder[/font]
fold myself into
stiff, icy sheets[/font]
and
smile[/font]
drifting into
emptiness[/font]
dreaming of
candy bars[/font]
and
rest stops[/font]
and
you.....[/font]

So true....I find unrequited love to be the driving force behind the majority of poetry (art in general actually), including mine. Ooooh, "terrible and secret vexation"-I love the way that sounds. :) Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment; I am flattered.
