aching heart
An aching heart never heals
It remains pounding and swelling of loss
A reminder of what existed and what is present
A shallow pain throbbing with numbing pain
Is there a time allotment for a healing heart?
Sunshine heats the bay
Snow covers the earth crying to thaw
Bark surrounds trees to protect
While the heart remains open
Covered Striated muscle
Open to ones’ coldness
Open to allow injury
Leaving a remaining ache
An ache forever hidden protecting oneself

It will heal when you allow yourself to move on.
No 'time allotment' unfortunately but it can heal :)
