Cold to My Bones
Cold morning wind blows harsh against my skin
like forgotten promises of long ago yesterdays
the scars on my skin tell you where I've been
since the last time your smile landed on me
Girl I wish I was back home with you
too many nights I've laid awake alone
with your name carved into my bones
this outlaw life is sure getting old
Memories like razorblades have left me scarred
I'm still the guy I was, I guess I'll always be
my hairs a little longer and my jeans a bit more worn
but the fire you light inside me is still just as warm
Girl I wish I was back home with you
too many nights I've laid awake alone
with your name carved into my bones
this outlaw life is sure getting old
like forgotten promises of long ago yesterdays
the scars on my skin tell you where I've been
since the last time your smile landed on me
Girl I wish I was back home with you
too many nights I've laid awake alone
with your name carved into my bones
this outlaw life is sure getting old
Memories like razorblades have left me scarred
I'm still the guy I was, I guess I'll always be
my hairs a little longer and my jeans a bit more worn
but the fire you light inside me is still just as warm
Girl I wish I was back home with you
too many nights I've laid awake alone
with your name carved into my bones
this outlaw life is sure getting old
