Mercurial shard
There was numbing
all consuming
it clutched like loss..
Encircled by laconism
it
reverberated within
my ears...
Words knotted
behind incarnadine lips
not fighting
to be spoken..
no affliction
just the consciousness
of something beginning
it was received with
Fervent acceptance..
There was no light
just starless obsidian
that settled heavy
upon the expanse
of oblivion.
I was nothing more than
a mercurial shard bursting
through Substratosphere..
with
no direction
no logic.
(Crash landing)
Leaky eyes flutter
his breath is
feathery against my neck
Pulse stabilized
his arm thrown
across my hip
he's
holding a shell
of someone
who was never there
to begin with..
the closer he gets
the further away I move
I'm nothing more than
a mere mercurial shard
bursting through
the substratosphere
