I'm not a "Shakespeare" type of guy
But I do believe romance is found within love
And in my case, romance and love had totally different parts.
It was her, she made me realize
That love is not a word but an action
But I was blinded by the pleasure of being with a hot girl,
An uptown girl who was truly attractive

Body so fine, ran up my mind, covered my thoughts,
I couldn't tell whether this is lust or love
'Cause I thought of her body more than her face
And thought of kissing her lips more than the words they say.

I dated her for the wrong reasons,
I took her body as a perfect element
That would carry me safe across the dry seasons.

I underestimated her love
And above that I disrespected her feelings.
It was a bit early for me to retreat
And I hope it's not too late for me to retrieve.

But we both know that against all odds,
We had it going on
Should the truth be denied...I raise my case
And if a star shoots tonight...my wish is her name.

I was not a player, never wanted to be one,
I was just having fun with no love in my mind.
I never thought it was going to hit my spine,
Reality strikes a man, a flash in the pan.
I don't regret the fact that I did that ish,
I enjoyed that ish, I loved that ish,
Now that same ish just hit he fan.
