Psalm 151

Father I write you psalms
Written From the most sacred and deepest reaches within my heart

From a place where
faith and hope trickle through the cracks of the darkness

From a place where
Weakness is bare naked without disguise or garment

For it is here where the spirit dwells
The most intimate conclave of a man
Where man and God come together
To fellowship and interact
Its from this gathering which man draws his essence
Where vices and all manner of vile things are absent

Writing psalms of gratitude
Father.
For often I meditate on all the times you carried me through
Father.
When the enemy and his minions came in drones to persecute
Father...
I ran to you seeking refuge
Fighting the attack In scripture and faith, I rebuked

For it was written-

"I shall wait patiently on the hand of the Lord,
For he will exult me in due course"
For it was written-

"I will cast all my doubts unto the lord,
For he careth for me in the midst of it all"

Against your word you were faithful
I stood and watched in wonder as the enemies fled on foot
Even the walls of Jerico came crashing down too
For I was made a victor without lifting a finger, weapon or arnored suit
Perplexing my reasoning and edifying my faith in you

Father!

But there were times that I doubted you
When circumstances pursued me into
Believing that this time Grace alone wouldn't do
That my faith was of no use
And prayer felt futile too
But in the end my flesh was made to look a fool
Cause my God ALWAYS comes through

The Blood of Jesus
Shed in love for his people
Uniting believer and Heathen
As one brethren under God- his children

Even in those times when my tongue lashed blasphemous
You still called me forth like Lazerus
You said "I command thee Rise from the grave Brethren"
Speaking life unto a rotting caucus, Lo and behold- The miraculous...

My spirit leapt for joy heeding the call
Feeding me breath, Feeding my flesh, feeding my bones- rise! RISE to the call
Rise from the grave, Rise and bear witness of HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD

That's the gift of salvation
That we may be cleansed of our sinful nature
The fruits of the crucifixion we feast on  at the expense of our creator
Yet he loves us still, Is there a love which is any greater?

What have I done father
to be deserving of such love
If ever my rights and wrongs were placed on a scales of justice
I'd be condemned to the belly of the beast in the hearing of my judgment

Our crookedness and wickedness of heart skew us

Thankfully though, Father, you are not as we are

You are-

Sufficient in grace
Slow to anger in the midst of our foul ways
Redeemer of souls for him who has faith
Faithful to him who earnestly kneels and prays

Never leave me father
Lest I end up back where I started
Back to my foul and wicked ways
Back to the confines of death and the grave
Back to the gates of Hades

To be consumed by the darkness

Never leave me Father...

That is the plea which echos within the very depths of my heart.
