Please tell me you hear the voices
the sounds in the night
the little creatures just barely out of sight
shadows that follow your every movement
demons sent to send you soul to hell
oh please, do tell me that you see them
see their dark truths about all of our reality
how everything that we know to be true
is but a lie, one which we finally find when we die
but i have been cursed to see it all, to hear the truth,
all too soon, the reason for this i do not know
but i have decided to warn you
oh, how i envy you, able to sleep when all things are wrong
the monsters in the world are very real, just not in the closet
or in the dark, sadly, all you have to do
is look into our hearts
destructive beasts we are
poising our only safe haven
how we set our world ablaze with our machines
maybe i have been sent as a prophet
but i cant help but think
that maybe, i dwell in the realm of insanity
for if only i see the demons that stalk humanity
could i myself be demon, sent to see what we have become?
