States Of Mind

Insanity, normality
What difference does it make?
In this world where beauty rules
Mentality is fake

So long as you can wear a dress
And make-up suits your skin
What goes on inside your mind
Is but background din

You could have ADHD
Or you could be depressed
But as long as you look good
They don’t care about the rest

But should this really be the way?
That we couldn’t care
Who can kill and who can harm
And who does not play fair

We’re all the same, each one of us
No matter sex or race
Each one trapped within our minds
With problems we must face
