Live Peace: Peace 2 Represent Me

Live Peace: Peace 2 Represent Me

Peace to represent me/
P.E.A. to the C/ to the E/
But the world’s peace on empty/
This world blue; sad blue—blue as sapphires/
People feel sad but look happy as Richard Pryor/
I’m from New Orleans yuh heard me/ tools sparkin’ yuh heard me/
My city needs peace as they bleed in the streets/
New Orleans streets red as a Blood from L.A./
And Bloods and Crips in L.A. die everyday/ damn!
I don’t understand it/ this world is Satanic/
We need a Whole New World where’s Aladdin/
Chi-town’s violence is like N.O.’s violence/
But let’s all just start smilin’ on an island full of silence/ yea!
Na in Cairo in the Mideast the protests are insane/
Because of a film about Anti-Islams/
Now Islams throwin bombs/ at people’s brains
People holdin’ people hostage/
People go in people’s pockets/
Now he robbed him like a robbuh/
Where’s Batman and Robin?/
I ain’t jokin’ like the Joker
We need more peace in this world before it’s all over
(Spell out) G.O.D.’s in this W.O.R.L.D.
P.E.A.C.E. from J.I.P./
in this L.I.F.E. we have one life
live it to the fullest tomorrow ain’t promised or that one night
Let’s stand for peace for our brothas and sistas
God give my brotha peace; my brotha, I miss yuh
Chorus: I’m out for peace to represent me *4
Break
I’m out for peace to represent me *4

2nd verse
Bully victim frozen/
My pain I would hold in/
My past emotions are frozen/
My eyes were oceans/
Frozen mean pain numb/
A lesson: I gained one/
What didn’t kill me made me stronger/
God healed me through the darkest/
I lived in South Central LA homies and bullied homie/
Flashback that day they pulled me homie!/
That day they pushed me homie/
Jumped me in the stall victimized from them bullies homie/
I was always depressed gray from my lids/
Screen gray tears from all the pain I hid/meeen
And it took 4 pills to hide that pain/
I’m not feelin’ depressed but I still cried that pain/
I wanted revenge from the unpeaceful punch out/
Then always saw the flashback backpack dumped out/
But poetry and writing changed my life/
Saw my pain in my pages; it saved my life/
It sucked to depend on meds all the time with constant headaches in my mind/
Was on 4 anti-depressants but still depressed and still cried/
But now I have more peace in Jips/
Moved on from the bullyin’and no more pills eversense/
People treat people madly because they are full of anger/
But love kills hatred and it prevents danger/
So when you see your neighbor don’t stress with beef/
Another day, another blessin—bless ‘em with peace PEACE
