White Rhino

Somewhere...
I heard a chrysalis crack
sending an endless vibration
of ...creation
to the stem of my cerebellum

As Seraphim dance
in and out of my peripheral vision

Me ,Myself ,and I
are about to have a head on collision
as wind that sounds like
a million butterfly wings careens over
my face...not leaving a trace
Of coolness

Instead...
Heat...
in a varying degree washes
over me...as I sprout wings
and fly away...far from myself.

Far from the me that is laying
On this couch
Having dreams of a heretic
though seemingly prophetic in nature

I blink and it feels like time
is standing still as my genetic
make up becomes fluid ...and I
pour myself off the couch and to
the kitchen...looking out the window

I see my self standing in the yard
waving back at the me in the kitchen
and I think...
" Maybe that last glass of Moscato
was too much ...Then
I laugh...

I laugh long and deep till I'm
pouring myself out on the kitchen floor
Head against the bottom cabinet door
Laughing like I had just heard
the funniest joke in the Universe...

Laughing till I see a rainbow of color
assault my irises  I'm Laughing
My self right into another dimension
Where every body looks like a cartoon...
Who Framed Roger Rabbit comes to mind...

As I pull myself up and slide into my bedroom
Lights out curtains drawn...
trying to let these shadows stop beaconing to me...

Knowing how badly
I want to slip away into the nether realms
like a wisp of smoke only returning
with the break of a new day...

I fall on my bed and collapse into the covers
Wondering....why I feel so light...
Maybe its because Of that White Rhino ....
Man...
Me & that White Rhino....
sure had  a good time.
