Dreaming of You

Sometimes, when
the night sky cries
moonlight tears
on my pale face,
I dream of you.

I dream of you
as you were. Long,
dark hair, and

eyes as black as coal
and as soft as my
melted heart when
you smile.

I dream of you
playing guitar,
fingers moving like
the fluttering of
butterflies, effortless.

I dream of you
shirtless, holding
my vulnerable body
against yours, the
rhythm of our hearts
matching perfectly.
Our secret melody.

I dream of you
riding your bike
and chewing a big
wad of green-apple
bubblegum.

I dream of you
dreaming of me,
wanting me.

I dream of you
longing to be
with me and only
me.

I dream of you.
I dreamt of you
just last night.
You were crying, and
I held you and cleaned
your wounds with
love.

I miss you so much.
More than I can bare.
I miss your long, dark
hair. I miss your dark
eyes.

When I'm not dreaming
of you, I miss you.
When I'm awake, when
I'm asleep, I want you
here with me.
