Melisa

There is only life in Battle
Said the man lifting his void eyes
Upwards to threatening black skies

He swore with his hope almost gone
As quicksilver tore his Heart and Soul
From his broken twisted body foul
Taking him to the edge, his life done

There is only life in Battle
This phase he could never forget
As he woke pained, wet with sweat

He sad, in torment, struggled to
Find a meaning to this poison
That held him tightly in Prison
It’s silvery chains he’d undo

There is only life in Battle
He cursed all the way downstairs
Painfully sat in padded chairs

His soul cried at the mean green screen
As he tore at its very core
To find what made him very sore
This night, he’d find an Angel Queen

There is only life in Battle
This awful fate he would undo
Never beaten, he must win through

And screamed as he saw an Angel
With the name of dear sweet Melisa
She held a light white cell to assay
Showing him the road out of Hell

There is only life in Battle
Said the man lifting fiery eyes
Dreaming of his jailers demise

In his eyes the war was clearly won
And now wicked plots he’d undo
With Melisa, put them in clear view
Melisa, many thanks for what you’ve done
