Lost
I dwell in an uncharted land,
Where dreams and nightmares go hand in hand,
Where the beautiful succeed and the intelligent achieve,
While I'm brushed away like a bug on your sleeve.
So I venture out into a world unknown,
In attempt to reap from the seeds of which I've sewn,
But then it comes to my attention that they never took hold,
Forcing me to watch idly as this tragedy unfolds.
I set sail in unexplored waters,
Still mourning the deaths of my dreams that were slaughtered,
By the sharpened scythe of my father and his eldest daughter,
My screams unheard by their deaf ears that couldn't be bothered.
I fly alone through the stormy skies,
As a spectator watching life go by,
No one seems to care or even ask why,
They're all just oblivious to my cries.
