Blood Song

- Blood Song -

Sing unto me; sing to me, in my very blood!
Be never timid, you who would be my lover.
I am a lady; who delights in passion’s flood,
And I am never modest, and seek no cover…
For what I am to you is a work of utmost art.
Let your song make my blood to rage hotly!
Come to me; make love’s madness to start…
Bring my mad, mad spirit to warm ecstasy!

And when I sing for you, your blood will boil.
Your skin will sweat, your pulse, will race…
My song will free you from all care and toil,
As you gaze into my lovely and wanton face!
Prick me with your dagger, thrust in me deep.
I shall lick your dagger, I shall feel its’ bite…
Until your love, into my very soul may seep!
This is our time, our hour: this solitary night.

We shall pass it in song, in madness, in love,
For I am a lady of strength and fiery passion!
To love me is to embrace the hot stars above,
For I was forged no less hotly in my fashion…
And what are you if not kindred to my nature!
A warrior queen and her warrior lover, ideal…
Only the gods can design something this sure.
Look into my eyes; tell me what you do feel!

Show me your warrior’s soul, let me taste it…
I hunger for you, I thirst for you; I desire you.
Love me, ferociously, until galaxies do quit…
For we will outlast them, our love more true!
My blood is on fire, and you kindle it so well,
That we shall both be consumed, before long!
But, as sure as there is flame yet left in Hell…
My heart will beat, to the rhythm of our song.
