As Much as it Hurts
As much as it hurts
it must be done
Knife taken in hand
so sharp that it bleeds
yet dull enough to rip and tear
the roots of all the love that was
and now is not
To remove the black vines of memory
overgrown in a wild tangle of
fathomless emotion
unrecognizeabe
Healing through pain?
through the pain of loss and betrayal
that you brought to life?
Perhaps.
Perhaps not.
But try.
