Always
Time is my archenemy since the day of my birth;
It always alludes me.
Love is my rival since the days of my youth;
It always defeats me.
Success is my nemesis since the days of my travail;
It always mocks me.
Peace is my elusive "white whale" since I could remember;
It always evades me.
Trouble is my constant companion;
It always stops by for a visit.
Hope, my faithful protector;
It always brings joyous tides-
Causing depression and frustration to subside.
