Somewhere smiles a starving child
Innocent, wide eyed; wild
A great potential to fully live,
Suffering from a need to give

Somewhere plays a sad melody;
Empathetic, dragging harmony
A solemn tale it portrays,
Setting pristine hopes ablaze

Somewhere lie two broken souls,
Their pieces lost; no one controls
Try to find the other, they may
But wisdom leads lovers astray

Somewhere hides mankind's lost hope
Without it, our world cannot cope
We create illusions because we care
Look past the trickery, nothing's there.
