Twilight

Fireflies and butterflies
Fill my dreams or twilight.

Flying around your body
in a halo of light and beauty.

Spinning in a field
I've never seen,
around a tree,
I've never climbed.

Watching you dance with them
to the songs of the grasshoppers,
and the old hoot owls.

Under a purple sky
with the starts starting to
peak through the veil of day.

I watch in awe.

Your feet,
so light on the soft grass.
Your hair,
embraced by the breeze.
Your eyes,
sparkling like jewels in the failing light.

This twilight
Last forever
In my dreams.
