Seers Chant

Flicking the veils
Of diaphanous threads
Push it aside tenderly
Blow it gently away
With chants of yore
Taken from the mouths
Of dryads and druids
Ever chanting placation
In constant harmony

Hear the ancient chant
To appease the spirits
nay, to plead for leave
to go beyond the veils
of the many tomorrows
that they may carry forth
the living souls to beyond
and glimpse time before time
before its time

O spirit of the air
O spirit of the woods
O spirit of the earth
Of the water within which
Constant murmurings
Are heard
Hear and obey
Hear the mantras
Pleas from children of Eve

Show us the future
That we may see
What will transpire
Beyond this sea
Of  nothingness
Children of the wild
Show us you who travel
Beyond and back
In the air of time

In this the night
It draws so close
The curtain calls
The cockerel crows
The shades have returned
To the portal of hades
Tomorrows evil we have seen
Caused by humans
Every one.
