A non important but rather unfortunate event

Blood drips from her veins
She clutches a rusted blade
Her only friend
The only one who can take her pain away
She’s bleeding out fast and doesn’t have much time
A mix of sweat and tears fall from her face
She can barely hear her parents arguing downstairs over breaking glass
They would never look for her here, the attic
It was her safe place, her solitude
But now she was going away, a vacation from the bad thoughts
She would never have to deal with them again
She takes the blade and eases it across her throat
Blood gushes from the slit across her throat
Her eyes go blank, having a dead look to them
Her body falls to the floor with a thud and she was left to lie in a pool of her own blood
She couldn’t deal with the pain any longer
She finally gave in to the voice inside her telling her she didn’t deserve to live
