IEZABEL

You knew the sun would burn my soul
but you forced me to walk in its rays
thinking you were putting an end to the dark
not knowing you were exacerbating the situation

I sat there melting on the inside for hours
I felt every last bit of humanity exit my body
tears would never fall from my eyes again
right and wrong will cease to matter, well to me

I tried telling you, I begged you
you were convinced, the sun would kill the demon
the one which resides inside of me, no,
the sun killed what was human

a spell cast by an amateur gave me pieces of a soul
we did that so I could love you, and feel you
so I could feel humanity just a bit, yes I am a demon
you knew that, I never lied to you about what I was

you thought you had found a way to rid me of myself
to the kill the monster, but you killed the heart of spell
I am what I always was, and was meant to be, a lustful demon
I lusted after you first, remember? it was all lust,

I am just harlot from the deepest part of hell
you are but a beautiful mortal human
your dark drew me in, pheromones I could not resist
and then I met a witch who knew a spell,

I wanted you, nothing more, I did not want tears
they came with the pieces of the lost soul I attained
you thought it was a miracle I knew it was not
a demon wants what it wants, and you happened to be mine

I did what I had to, to keep you for awhile
I stole a soul on its way to the gates
so I could fuck you, so I could make you sin
and eventually bring you down, with me

I have been emptied of the last of the lost soul
man, it feels good to be back to myself
not bogged down with bullshit human feelings
I'm going to say I'm sorry, though I am not

you laid with a demon, you did her bidding
so now your soul is his, and mine
I can not wait for nature to take its course
I will take you, well your soul back with me

it will be mine forever
the goodness in you has died,
and with that we are universally tied
burn baby burn, in my bed of fire
