Stuck

You are magnified
ten thousand times
inside my minds eye

you keep hitchhiking
on other thoughts,somehow
it always comes back to you

I often wonder why I wont forget you
or at the least, let you fade
you were despicable, hardly one to keep mulling over

somewhere inside me a fire burns for you
no amount of tears will wash it away
nothing I do relinquishes these thoughts

I drown in reverie,
symbiotically joined, forever
that kills me

I want you gone
your memory dead
but no...it seems to be immortal  

it seems to like haunting me
taunting me with the fantasy of a dead love
I find it cruel and daunting

there is not an escape
thoughts just manifest
I can not stop them

a fool
lost in thought
and stuck on you
