I'm laughing because kissing you would mean a car crash.

Your hands touched mine
as we fidgeted uncontrollably
and the touches were just as frivolous
as they used to be.

Our legs intertwining,
bare thighs touching
and hands cuffed

Sometimes, in complete exhaustion
they fell heavily to our laps
the only thing that brought them back
were the magnets in our fingertips
with a moment
in where the hands
moved to our chests
and to our lips
we forget we've been through this
exactly a million times before
and memories didn't
matter so much,
they kept the heart
pumping I guess and we find
out another permanence;
the consistency
of our earnest
passion.

But this didn't happen,
I was kind of imagining it
as we drove to the sushi restaurant
and talked about how
it's so funny
to call each other
the ex fiancé
in public
and how
regular 18 year olds
wouldn't know the stress
of planning a secret
wedding.
