They look at porn, as if it’s the cure

Innocence
my fingertips slowly roll down her shoulder
as I slide off her top, and her body grows colder
with soft hands, I feel her changing skin
Her nervous heart flutters, as her hairs stand on end
I grasp her hands, to save her from innocence
I move closer to her neck

My friend that bleeds
I have this friend you see,
Well he’s not much of a friend,
But he’s the only one that talks to me
When we meet, I’m always alone
But don’t worry, he wouldn’t harm me
He can get a bit crazy from what I’ve seen though
But nothing that’s gone farther than a small bleed
We talk and we cry, but he’s always by my side
Lately however, things have gotten louder

Together We'll Find a Way
I find my way back to the sun
Your find your way back to the moon
We'll find our way back to each other,
Lost again
I find my way into the sky
Like asteroids we drift on by
One little breath and stars collide,
So lonely
I reach across the atmosphere
Out of darkness you appear
Your touch so kind I hold you near,
So close but so far away
Suddenly I’m gripped by fear
Space so dark I can’t see clear

Into grey your body fades
Sad and tired we don’t know how

A hero lives forever
Do I run or do I fight?
For the first time in a long time, I don’t know which is right
A dead man with courage is worthless
Yet a worm burrowed away lives for another day
But the judgment that comes upon he will be merciless
I cannot remember which is more important:
My own precious life, or that of one I have not met?
As I stare into death, I feel that my breath must be kept
However, another’s is soon to be swept, from this earth and all its life
To rest in Hell with those that die
My hands are dirty, my mind unclean
I’m a liar and...

Death's Call
Its tempting whispers play by my ear
The sound of freedom, the abolition of fear
A promise to make my pains no more
and return life to my frozen core
Goosebumps rise, and drool falls
like a dog lost in a storm
I hear my master's call
My shivering body begins to feel warm
As bridges burned and hope became lost
I found no one but you in the midst of the chaos
When everything looked down, you looked up

Lost in the Crowd
Crowds of people everywhere
moving without cause, going nowhere
They flock to fresh meat
like vultures ready to feast
I try to separate from the pack
But time and time again I'm pulled back
Back into the center of chaos and destruction
where death is a game, and life an interruption
taking all that is, for granted
they live blind and distracted
taking no warning from the light
finding peace in the darkness of the night
You cannot run
they'll always find you
even the purest soul
if given a chance, can be consumed whole
moving without cause, going nowhere

Cries Lost in Tears
A desperate cry onto deaf ears
Saddens the blind man who sheds no tears,
And the mute who speaks words of solace,
But with no sound, drop dry in a dessert of voices.
Someone left alone with no one to hold,
So depressed, finding no peace in their home,
Travelling the darkest circles of the mind,
With only one answer too horrible to find.
They feel as though no one cares,
Yet the others are simply unaware,
And what’s worse, some want to help
But have not the courage to tell.
They fall from heaven every day,
And in silence they...

Going to Sleep
Into bed you retreat
Body tired, soul beat
The soft pillow and your warm cheeks meet
Eyes shut in an instant
All else fades, growing distant
As thoughts run free in a perfect symphony
Relaxation soothes the body
Your mind slows, as images become foggy
All pains and miseries turn to grey
In these short moments, there is no time to be afraid
Into eternity you fade away
To be awoken shortly to the breath of another day

Alone
I sit here feeling lost
I have pursued knowledge and desire, but at what cost
I am left alone with an empty head
Filled with thoughts of what my life could have been
I feel like I’m two steps behind
To my friends I seem fine, but inside I’m dying
When did I grow so far apart
From those that offered me their hearts
I have no love to return, my heart is as hard as stone
I didn’t notice as it grew cold
But now it’s too late, frozen whole
I feel there is no hope
To melt this lost soul

The darkness inside
I’ve heard of the dark and light we’re given
Two odds, battling ferociously within
But the grey line between death and wisdom is thin
And many will give in to this black sin
If this darkness infects us, we will never know
A silent killer, with not but a flinch as it grows
There is no light to defend our fragile soul
Through veins unclean, this black blood begins to flow
With this darkness inside of us, no light will ever show
