Wheel
Wheel touch earth
Wheel touch down
Wheel roll on
Wheel pushed on
Wheel drive over
Wheel run over
Wheel torn up
Wheel picked up
Toss away the wheel
For it has seen too much.
Maybe it was meant to be
This way.

Color Me Lovely
Paint me a beautiful picture
That not 1000 words can top.
I want to allure you to my
Vision of what makes right
And what makes wrong.
My paintbrush, your heart
My canvas, your body

LOVE POEM

So Long
So long
Were the days
We never spent together
So long
Were the fights
We never had.
So long
Were the kisses
We never exchanged.
So long
Were the words
We could have said.
And I feel like a fool
For not representing my
Love for you but it is
Too late
Because you are gone.
Now I look down the narrow street
As the sun finally sets
With trees swaying
In perfect sync.
Maybe if I hope long enough
I may conjure the courage
To speak to you.
Were the days

STORY POEM

Interstate 45
We were on I-45.
The people by the lake
Began to dive,
I could tell their smiles weren't fake.
This road was its own story
I read all of the words in the tar
Trying to find some glory
There but, that section was just too far.
My dejection was spilled
Onto a lesser known street
Where it is filled
With life, fleeting.
In the sunlit suburb,
A small land with verdant fields
I lie, becoming the grass' own
Just waiting for me to disappear.
The people by the lake
Began to dive,
I could tell their smiles weren't fake.

I Slept and it Was 10 P.M.
I slept at ten p.m.
As engines squeal
And driver still awake.
I opened my eyes at five a.m.
The sky was dim but
Somewhat bright.
Everyone was softly sound
And I, silently overheard the
Song.
My heart was pounding as
This song reached to me.
I didn't favor the piece but
I knew it was all for me.
Then I realized it was not
Pennsylvania,
Nor Ohio.
But it was Indiana.
As engines squeal
And driver still awake.

Rapid Speeds
The world was moving at rapid speeds
I sat along the edge of the seat
Far behind the driver’s seat.
My chin rested on my fist
As I looked out onto the dreary city.
With rain pacing down
Roads in the sky to reach ground.
And splash on concrete.
My eyes are the windows, wet with drops
Of clear liquid.
These interstates and countless cars
Enhancing the tranquility I need in
This car.
And I know the world was moving at
Rapid speeds
As everyone and everything
Was nothing but a blur.
