I could be you.
Just try it. You’ll like it.
I wouldn’t like any of that, thank you though.
Come on, just a bite.
No, man! It looks gross. I know what I like and what I don’t like. And, that’s not it!
How do you know if you like or don’t like something you’ve never tried? That’s like saying I don’t like instruments because you have never heard the elegant sound of a piano or cello weaving its way through you internal organs.
Whatever, I’m not tasting it. That’s the end of it.
You would be that person!

You know, that person that’s patiently sitting.

Hammer Toes
By a building corner they sat
A child of poverty
A man of savagery
Brain-sickened by abuse and drug addiction
Innocents sold and stolen
For another hit
Sitting in silence
Silence be the word
Draw after Draw
Crack pipe absurd
Where did he come from
Why won't he run
I bet it is because
His world has come undone
This adult if that's what he is
Has promised temporary release
From a world of no future-sadness
At an awful price
Dopamine cuts through youthful in-habitation
Like a knife through...

Transitions are for the most part transient. Fleeting lapses in time. A single stitch in the seam of moments and instance. Yet, the stitches of change seem to be what holds the garment of existence together so fittingly.
Actually I'm really not too fond of change. Everybody says it is the best part of life. But, is it really? Do people actually believe that? Or, do they think it speaks true because that's what there taught to consider?...

Little Rainbows
I believe:
Every moment
Every second and Every experience we share is beautifully painted and exquisitely elaborate
I believe:
Your eyes are as captivating as your soul
Your heart is as endless as reality and at the end is forgiveness
I believe:
Every inch of you is absolutely elegant
Every smile speaks to the complexity of your heart
I believe:
Without you I could not breathe
Without you I could not stand
Without you I am a fish without water...

Ciggs and Coffee
Strung out on nicotine and caffeine
These meetings are obscene
Twisting the displays of these awful clichés
Hello my name is desperate
And I am an addict
I have one foot in yesterday
One in tomorrow
I guess I am pissing away today
I better watch my nuts
I won’t have to if I keep it simple
But I find that's not so easy
When these thoughts come so sleazy
Just like the steps, all twelve
I am stuck in between
Endless stars and orbiting satellites
So far from grounded
That these obscurities
Have become absurd to see
...

"Yes, you can't have your animal skins hanging all over the place when your uncle Bo gets here. He will have a conniption if he sees that stuff. Besides, they're starting to stink up your room."

Cannibal Caterpillars
These neon lights shine a vicious spectrum of vicarious violence that’s slowly suffocating me
Softly with an ice cold smile as warm as a lonesome summer day.
These aspirations and affirmations affirm the fact that my existence just might be a tremendous fallacy.
Spending every fictitious minute trying to find meaning in a moment that has long since past.
So, I gravitate towards instant gratification glorifying the simplicity that kills me
Not in the since of forever
It’s the idea of now that has lost its luster
This fate I shall lament until tomorrow...

Burn the Luggage
All packed up with no suitcases
Leaving all that cities that left us in decay
Rotting flesh at the Pacific Palisades
I say you’re the countess of Dutch
You say you’re a bit out of touch
With a touch of to much
No mouth and no ties
Just a heart beating beauty and lies
You say I'm the prince of nervous
Shaking and breaking elaborate promises
That sticks like a thorn in the eye
This all boils down to another goodbye
Now it’s metropolis in my head
Spinning like a carousel
Round and round like a top
Turns out...

My Lack of a Voice
I do my service of not saying a thing
Strangling the frog in my throat and doing it in vain
I’m tired of writing about nothing
Who am I kidding?
I write about
Pain and despair and self hatred
Possibly I patronize myself so I can get better.
Makes since for a second
Until that second is dissolved
Crushed into broken moments
Lines and shapes on paper or is the paper on the shapes and lines
I dictate the scribbles in eloquent form
Persuading myself that it all gets better in the end
Beginning to feel there may just be an illusive...

Where Was I?
You were everything to me
My love
My hope
My enabler
My friend
My future and my past
I let it all go because I didn’t love myself
I didn’t love who I had become
Therefore, hadn’t a chance in the world of loving you the way you’d deserved
I was utterly disgusted with where my life resided
It was a mind boggling disappointment to see you go
My heart began to atrophy, to wither when I finally realized it was over
The pain was immense and overwhelming
I could not see straight
I did not want to feel or exist

The Great and Secret Show
The rips in my reputation are constantly castrating every lucid expressive minute of the things I did wrong.
What were they again?
I'm not sure if I care enough to acknowledge or even attempt to configure and construe them into something I understand
Why should I?
This is my reality, so they tell me
Who are they?
By the way
This should all work out nicely and come to a pinnacle
That’s as vibrant as the eyes of a Rembrandt painting
There goes my wishful thinking back from the depths of some long lost fairytale
I find myself romanticizing...

Isn't it funny how my head got so big
And aint it funny how you stuck around
I knew the day was fast a coming
The day you would walk right out of town
I saw it going a little differently
You and I ending and beginning like eternity
We shared couches and coffee tables
Along with streets, sidewalks and memories
You told me you loved me
And I told you forever
Do you remember lying on the floor?
Hearts beating in unison
Palms sweaty
You were absolutely captivating while evading all of my questions
That's when I knew ...
