Woke my heart you numbed my mind
Was that kind.
To make me blind
Flashing light and thunder
Shattered peacefully slumber
You closed my eyes.
With your disguise.
Spoke of love with gentle lies?
A armor of feigned honesty.
A ruse to shed my modesty?
So what am I to you my love .
A marathon and not a sprint.
You present yourself so full of love.
Just give us a hint.
I never begged your heart from you.
Content to be your playmate.
But what you promised to be true
Would turn a heart to hate.

Clouds
As joyful sun breaks somber clouds apart
There should be light and love in war torn heart
Breathing in brief peace, temporary delight
What one would give to avoid dark brooding sight
Brutal thunder beats horizon black and blue
To close hopeless eyes and not see what is true
Clawing branches grasp at brooding ghost
Secrets lurk to take what's valued most.
Loyalty a crown and a cross
Protect one on the other face the loss
Protect loves heart loves life
Remove the symbol cause of strife
There should be light and love in war torn heart

Winking onyx pools
Drowning in your eyes
Soft lips make the rules
Surely telling lies
Beating greecian veins
Under tender silken lips
To wander through these plains
To sails with these ships
Sun kissed olive skin
Caress my name and face
Another game I cannot win
Faced with time and space
The sunset has me envious
It will linger on your face
Caressing kind flirtatious
Another girl will share this place

Haunted
The ghost of imposter kisses
haunts swollen lips
Drowsily dreaming of traitorous neck and teasing finger tips.
Hurried well meant embrace
Hit the mark but somehow miss.
The reality it's not your face.
This spectre not your kiss.
Stretching sun drenched limb.
The universal haunting sin.
In any place I don't need much.
Though possibly your actual touch

Rising
I was frozen placated content.
You shattered peace but don't repent.
I offered my flesh your ego needed more.
You would not rest please confess.
Till you tore it from my shattered chest.
Not a treasure but a trinket a token.
for the pyre of your wounded pride.
Don't try and hide or yet deny.
There is no kindness in a lie.
You furnace burned me to my core.
I should thank you, before
I never needed more.
You woke the ashen bird inside
For years it used to hide.
That winged myth of fire.
Which now...

Blazing
Waltzing in the light of the fallen morning star.
Rebels of the heart dancing
daring trials
to test the truest love.
His world reflected
in the windows of her tortured soul.
Bruised but not bent.
Tempered for strength
Dancing on in time
to every broken heart beat.
Her dark knight and army of one.
His callous gentle hands
wrapped around her pounding heart.
They waltz on through the joyfull dark.
To the haunted beat
of triumphant love.

Snow White gossamer paper
Hold crimson tear soaked truths.
Spilled by a wiser heart.
Schooled in the furnace
of your silent wounded pride.
Forlorn lashes mark out
the lessons learned.
That I could heal
that unintended hurt
smooth the cracks in our foundation.
Change the course now set.
By willful spirits and stubborn
hearts.
But I am not devoid pride
or heart or hurt or strength
or will.

Intangible night smothers my
traitorous bleeding heart.
Pushing jagged splinters through
crimson veins
beat by wounded beat.
Every stumbling step from you
tears at my fractured soul.
Forcing acid tears from emerald eyes
There is no hopeful moon
no glow to light this path.
Your face hidden I stumble in the dark
carving out every print on me from you.
There is no back
Just trough.
Beat by searing i learn i'll live.
But to kill me would be kind.

Here i wander aimlessly
No warmth or sound or shaky breath
come near this hollow chest
No morsel parts these frozen lips
No light shines forth from deathly orbs.
Since they wont fall on you.
Drained cheeks marred
by salted tracks.
Here i slump a empty shell.
Knowing you might share this hell
Having you removed from me
has left my soul bereft
Insult piled injury
No one to blame for this theft.
Unwillingly I wounded you.
Its my fault that you left.

from those lips spill forth
careful webs to ensnare
my untouched savage heart
With those hands and strength
slowly tricking it to care.
teaching it to need you
as once i needed air
taming it and laming me
captivated by your charms.

Flailing gasping sighing
I tumble into you.
No hope for mercy here.
Sighing trembling gasping
In your arms id kill to stay

Games we Play
It's just a game love
What we have is real.
You whisper
She doesn't mean thing love
Change the way I feel.
You say
But games are fun love
and this one makes me reel
I sigh
Stumble stagger falter
Bow my head and kneel.
I wait
Annoyed by my doubt.
You know how I feel
You shout
My role not touch your heart
I only feel your steel.
I stay.
So I bleed in silence.
Stealing myself to say.
You go ahead and play love.
Don't watch me walk away...
