The Idea of Death
The idea of death has never seemed so appealing
One little penance
For all of my mistakes
Just one action
To rectify everything I've done
To bring justice to everyone I hurt
I think about it in my spare time
I dream about taking the pills
Finally finishing my battle with death
Letting death get the best of me
Falling over the precipice
Into the rest of eternity
Never hurting anyone else again
No longer causing pain to myself
Letting go of everything and everyone
For I have reached my breaking point

Every now and then
It crosses my mind
Creeping in
Then hurrying out
I try
To keep myself busy
So I can't think about it
But it always finds a way
To enter my thoughts
Pills down the hatch
A couple shots of bleach
Myself, a rope, and a tree
I'm addicted to planning different ways
Different scenarios
I think it might be time for

Expectations
Everyone expects something from you
Whether it's friendship
Sex
Greatness
Brilliance
Or anything else
You are supposed to measure up to something
Some people take those expectations and exceed them
Gaining respect and admiration from others
Then some people crumble under the pressure
Saying "fuck this"
Going on their own path
Being the person they want to be
Not caring about others' opinions of them
Then there are the people who just stand there
Looking from side to side
Wondering what to do
Not wanting to be the...

The Ally
Facing down an empty ally
With no companions but herself
Wondering why she is there
What subconcious thought led her there
She studies the ally
There's nothing particulary special about it
Just a dark empty ally
She can't even see the end
Is there an end?
Looking around her
She sees what is surrounding her
Her identity
Everything she needs to know before she heads into the ally
Her hand, strong and steady, reaches out to collect her identity
But a blade flashes through the air
Attacking her hand
Causing scarlet to escape from...

The fog
She wakes up
And she wants to die
As she gets ready for the day it just gets worse
So she pulls out her bowl
And smokes the pain away
She is happy
Laughing being normal
But the drugs exit her system
So she pops some pills
To try to get rid of the pain
As the fog rolls in and the pain escapes
Leaving her in a little bliss
A bliss that one day will kill her
She can't live her life without the fog
Because it is the fog that helps her forget the pain
That helps her not want to kill herself
When the fog rolls in the pain fades away...
And she wants to die
As she gets ready for the day it just gets worse
So she pulls out her bowl

Drowning The Pain
She looks deep in herself
All she sees is pain
It will not vanish, nor disappear
It will not leave
So her motto has become
A bottle a day will keep the pain away
She surrounds her self with the stench of booze
Enveloping her mind in the numbness of alcohol
Keeping her safe
Keeping her happy
For now
But what will become of her when the booze no longer works?
She doesn't know
She doesn't care
As long as she is contempt
For now
All she sees is pain
It will not vanish, nor disappear
It will not leave

Dark tendrils exit her finger tips
As if she is commanding the darkness herself
Her blood red eyes flitting around the room
Seeking, searching
For what, or whom?
Then they reach him
Looking intensly at him
She stalks over to him
Taking her time, a predator stalking its prey
Waiting for the right time to attack

Spellbound by her
Frozen, as if his feet are trapped in ice

Her path, after Death
She inhales her last breath
With the gun next to her head
She exhales as she pulls the trigger
A sharp, yet short pain pricks her skull
But then its over
Finally relief..
As dark fades into light a strange man stands before her
Tears streaming down his cheek
On either side of him there is a path
"Hello? Uhm.. where am I?" She questions
He doesn't reply for a few moments
Hoarsely he replies,
"Miss, you're dead."
This of course was no surprise.
"Where do I go?"
His reply is a pointed finger to...

The curve of her smile
The fullness of her chest
The scars on her wrist, upper arm
The pain she tries to disguise, but I am aware of
The wish that she will end her life
The worry she will never find love
The laugh that tumbles out of her mouth
The loud, abnoxious words, running out of her
The bluntness of her words, speaking what's on her mind
The kiss we almost shared
The perfectness which is her
Making me want her
Making me long for her
In the end it doesnt matter though
I am not allowed to have her
I am not allowed the opportunity...

Pain Before Sleep
A tear runs down her face
She can't help it
Damn she hates crying, but she can't stop it
Her simple solution is to take out a razor blade
The cool clear metal calms her down a little
Not enough though
Pressing the blade to her skin she feels relief
Pressures of the past few days evaporate
Life is temporarily okay
Soon it sucks again
She takes the blade again
Repeating the steps
Press, wait, and cut down
Her blood flows out of the wound
A feeling of giddiness spreads throughout her
Starting in her arm
Reaching her face, chest, and...
She can't help it
