Sometimes I just want to be alone

I always get reminded of how great I am

How does the light of our love become so dim
Every time we try to shine, the clouds come in
Our past mistakes break free and drains all of our energy,
When I say I need you..
I hope you feel me
I would have never held on so long if I didn't look past the clouds and saw your sunshine peeking at me,
If I never saw the potential of what we could be,
If I never had hope for our family,
But lately this storm hasn't let up,
Stuck behind those clouds
