POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I'm not a poet. Poets can smell color and taste seasons. Poets can make vomit sound beautiful. I just write and hope it comes out well. :)

Stiletto's
her silver strappy stiletto's are her favorite
though they remind her of him
and how they sauntered the city sidewalks
with basket woven fingers and the stroke of his thumb
the cadence echos softly with every stride
as she still hears the rhythm of their laughter
memories of his arm cloaked across her shoulders
like a morning fog claiming the land before dawn
she slides the sandals off her arches
never forgetting the tides inside her core
when he explored her skin with his lips
and kissed each leg, as he removed her heels

Never To Have Loved At All
he who said,“'Tis better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all”
never lost you
I never thought I would already know someone
lying on the gravel, distraught
under the limestone
yet, there you were
with all familiarity
eager to help me climb, like last time
you taught me how it feels to be loved
selflessly; each of your kisses
glued my poisoned mosaic heart
every word you spoke
doctored my fractured archaic soul
you dangled hope in front of me
like a ball of string, teasing me to...

Untouchable
I lie in my coffin: awake
paralyzed
aqua swirls of satin
and the scent of rose petals
surround me
untouchable beauty
is my punishment
I did this
I sunk lower than this bed will go
and now I gag on my decaying breath

The Eagle
freedom is to soar
across my celestial sky
of sapphire planes
courage is to spread
my wings over alabaster clouds
and float past the amber globe
strength is to sail
over my emerald sheets
and fearless indigo waves
loyalty comes when
my exquisiteness is admired
and my elegance revered
I am the monarch of the air
and conveyer to the gods
I am the Eagle.

Dear John?
Dear John, or is it Shawn?
With all your lies
(especially about size)
it's hard to see through your disguise
Sorry about the car, (not)
I left quite a scar
it even shines from afar, (oops)
By the way,
when your status read
"it's complicated"
I thought you said constipated
so I put five laxatives in your coffee.
Don't be frustrated
Did I forget to mention?
I dropped your toothbrush in the porcelain invention.
I hope this doesn't cause us tension
I did you a favor
you can...

Promises Un-kept
he promises today is
the last time
we'll blissfully plunge
in a black hole
called paradise
the last time
we'll thrust
in a white plague
called heaven
today, he promises
he promises tomorrow is
the first time
we'll miserably dive
in a hurricane
called purgatory
the first time
we'll stand
in a demonic tornado
called hell...

Masterpiece
< your hands >
tightly fisted
white knuckled
paint brushes
< my skin >
velvety satin
peached porcelain
bruised canvas
< your art >
spring hues
pearlescent shades
airbrushed flesh
< my heart >
stained glass
fractured mosaic
ripped abstract
< your life >
evaporated sponge
dehydrated viscous
empty abundance

One Hundred Survivors
Day One:
Dearest Husband,
I thought I would keep a journal of our trip for you. After you decided you could not be bothered to come with us, (even though you had promised), I went out and bought this pretty pink notebook with the flower on it, just for you [and your whore] to kiss my ass with.
Day Three:
First, I want to say, fuck you! Fuck you for not coming with us. Fuck you for picking her [again]! Fuck you for not being here to protect us. Fuck! You!
By now, I am sure you have heard our plane never made it to...

Holocaust
patriotic fools
live
as blind men
speaking
“honest” lies
recycling wars
within
their wrestling conscience
dwelling
in a suicidal dream
seeking
for a black sun
surrounded
with invisible flames
flooded
with ashes of forsaken souls
a battle
that ends in stalemate
nothing
but pure massacre survives
everything
is lost in their crippled hearts
nothing
can be done
suicidal homicide embodies the mind
creating a holocaust
within
time is the only...

Paralyzed
lying on a bed of searing ember; or
is it a late evening snow?
one final taste of the euphoric powder; all
that was needed to feel the addicting numbness
emerald eye’s, narrowed tranquil
gazing beyond heaven’s promised land; a
weightless feather, floating fog
mirrored self, drifting serenely
under trees and wealth of falling leaves
golden summer rays [where] music sings a birds praise
battling to stay in this contented nirvana; fighting
the threads that are binding; pulled
back to the prison...
