when i was always free
to have fun with my parents
and to cherish them when we went
to go somewhere besides home
where i was always alone
just me and the words that haunt my
nightmares as i let time fly
remembering the old times i loved her
she used to be my cure
of depression when i felt unknown
and when we use to talk all the tiem

i hate being mad, i hate being sad
i need my bestfriend, who is my dad
we talk and chill, we cruise down the hill
i love my dad, it isnt bad
he works and works, but then it hurts
to see my dad, feeling sad
he's friendly he's mine, my dad is one of a kind
when im sad he gets mad
he says, "chin up, dont feel bad"
i hug him and smile, i know i'll be here a while
i hate being mad, i hate being sad
i have my best friend, who is my dad

you're the reason i come to school
i do my best so you dont see me as a fool
seeing you smile and laugh
makes me wanna gasp!!
so i keep my cool but then i end up
being a fool that drools
i dress to impress
but then i realize
this isn't me, im not living a lie
just being me is how its gunna be
and then you'll see
the awesome side of me
you're the reason i come to school
then when we finally meet
