POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Beast [tetractys poem]
You
begin
to rape her
hear her screaming
inside of you a beast beyond remorse.
You tear her flesh without shame or mercy
no dignity
without pride
human
scourge.
She
begins
to scream out
deafening rage
why must this happen like a curse to live.

How Do You Feel Now
How do you feel now
after a good hammer day
hammering at nails
to build your own wall?
Construction takes you
to frame
what's in your mind
it lets you see your thoughts.
Every fitted joint
becomes a home-run for you,
makes you more confident
and you stride like a peacock.
When you hold a chisel to wood
and strike its head
you begin a mark
to make a mortise
in your mind.
When the encryption is complete
without failure
even the chisel
will smile
at the master feat.
Gender is not...

I Watch you
I
watch you
like sunshine
watches the earth
in every nook and cranny as dawn breaks.
Little in the contour of your dreams I
miss in vigil
every sigh
permeates
me.

Where I Sit
This
is where
I seek out
sea shells from the sea shore and sandy beach.
I harvest grains of sand in my mind's eye
watching pebbles
wavering
where I
sit.
