Deep in love
Why do I do this
Make myself a grave
Of misery
Over the sight of you
Seclude myself
Over the thought of
You
Why
Why do I constantly
Get over you then
Fall back in love
At a single glance
Of your face
Across the room I see you
And it hurts
Me so deeply
I would rather
Bury myself in my misery
Then realize
I'm better
Than
This

With an unsure
Tone
Of pleasure
Read me like the novel
That you crave during the

Kiss me like your favourite
Page, that will live
In you forever
Now fold over my corners
So you'll never forget
Where we left off
Where you left

Make a wish
make a wish for the season
for the month
or for the year
and keep it to yourself
not for anyone to hear
on a eyelash
or a flower
or a penny in the well
on a star
in a prayer
or simply to yourself
now hold it like you breath
while at the bottom of the sea
now float back to the surface
back to reality.
back to you and me
back to when we were
good
and happy
and laughing
and misunderstood
step away from the darkness
you hold deep inside
step away from...
for the month

There's a stuggle going on
Between my head and
My heart
My heart wants you
More then the air

But my head

It recalls the pain

Okay
Hearing from you
Was a shock to my system
A tidal wave
If emotions flooded my body
I could never forget
The pain
The heartache
That you put me though
But the casualty
In your voice
Somehow made it okay
It made me forget
What it was like to love you
Like I was meeting you
For the first time
And again I felt normal
Like the sea had calmed
And my thoughts untangled
Because you made it okay
Was a shock to my system

often times
often times we are blind,
we do not see hurt
or hunger or need
we have transfigured ourselves
into self-serving morsels
that we name the individual
often times we must see
that we are not just a leaf
but we are the whole tree
even when the wind tears us
away and the cold makes us small
we are still all one, not a part
often times we are blind
that others are us
and we are them.

The storm
Awaking to see that
The storm clouds
You thought were
Gone
Are back
As if overnight
A slight drizzle
Has turn into a
Hurricane
That the pain in
Your heart
Has awoken
Thought you
Had fixed what was
Broken
But it seems to be there
That blank stare
In you mind
Like don't know who you
Are
Emotional bruises and scars
As if every fear you have ever
Feared
Has come true
You are no longer
Shiny and new

when
i saw her holding hands
and i prayed
that they weren't yours
so we could be together
but i recognized the soft curvature
of your fingers
and the comfort in your palms
and i knew it was fiction
your love for me is as ambiguous
as the horizon
in the dead of night
but mine for you
shines
like the constellations
and once again
my thoughts
run me down
a kaleidoscope
of memories
only i hold
for you.
and i prayed
